Whistlers, Chipping Norton – Review

Last Friday as part of  a friends hen party I travelled up to Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire so go for dinner with her before heading to Cardiff the next morning. As it was also my birthday she had booked us into a beautiful resturant called Whistlers. It was absolutely stunning inside and the service impeccable. All the staff were extremely friendly and gave us an iPad with the specials on so we could see them clearly without straining around to look at the board.

We decided to get some mixed olives as an appetiser and I went for the specials pork spring roll with sweet chilli dipping sauce. Oh my was the one of the best spring rolls I think I have ever eaten! It was a giant one cut in half and beautifully presented with the dipping sauce in a small bowl but the flavours were incredible.

For main I remained on the specials menu for the pulled pork burger with chips and coleslaw. It was amazing and tasty but so much on the plate that I couldn’t eat it all! As it was one of the few opportunities where I didn’t have to drive I decided to treat myself to a good ol’ Mojito and my was it good! Mojitos are one of my favourite cocktails and when I find a good one I know it’s somewhere I will be returning to!
